The second album by Trauma Forward, titled Aesthesys – second chapter of a music trilogy that has begun with Scars
– is based on the question about what is possible to know of the external world.
The meditative journey which started with Scars, moves onto another plan, the external one, through a Ulysses-like jaunt into a mysterious
and indifferent city. The protagonist stumbles across many common entities of the external reality that, for the first time, it seems able
to comprehend: at the end of its path, the protagonist will understand a disconcerting revelation which will lead towards the third chapter.
Aesthesys is the conjugation of many music genres – such as electronic, progressive, ambient, ethnic and soundtrack – with authorial photography,
sculpture, literature, and philosophy.
The artwork also contains a lot of collaborations with talented artists and virtuous musicians as Ciccio Li Causi, Fabio Zuffanti, Leon Seti and many more.
Sunday idleness. Since it was awakened at the sunrise by bizarre divagations originated from the wounded canvas, it jumped out the window to enjoy a solitary walk.
Cracked tyres upon smooth pebbles scattered in spring gardens, revealed the chemical contribution towards feelings.
Its romantic impetus was ruptured by others contempt and then it was crushed inside the centrifugal motion of the city centre.
Hence port fetors and marine reflections mutated into imaginative consolation for an unacceptable awareness.
Abandoning itself among the adjacent woods at noon, contemplating granular sparks, it achieved the intuition of denticular auric devices.
Then, archaic pillars, hidden by wither shrubs, conducted it through perceptive evolutions.
It almost touched eschatological dynamics through aesthetical facts from an ineffable geometric temple, experiencing a pythonic past again.
Afternoon inferior desires – as prions in meninges of industrial sites – shocked the protagonist since they were contradictory to the consciousness of the new flesh.
Thus, it got insensibly back to the sapless domestic holes along drenched asphalt, woven by liturgic lights.
The box and the key: it realized that they were useful while it was looking at some of them, scattered into the lewd junkyard of wretched districts.
Unctuous stains on the surface of liquids contained inside the tanks of a hollow inn, revealed the irrational disquietude about the fingers of a hand at the vesper.
Nearby, an unsafe, melancholic, maternal shelter had lost memories of its childhood. Like everyone else, after all.
It decided to lose it too, in order to end worthily its metaphysical excursion at the sundown, from the top of the ancient bastion it reached minutes before.
